this guy is just phenomenal & prolific to boot, last year’s “Instrumentals 1” & “Rainforest” collections were bar setter’s for genre transcending & future thinking music in general, acting as a sort of gap bridger between hip-hop & dream-pop/shoegaze, and now the saga continues…last week he released “Instrumentals 2”, this one featuring several of the essential A$AP Rocky beats he’s done (including my personal favorite “Palace”) & other work he’s done for a range of artists, from originals to remixes, all stripped of vocals & sprawled out together on one set, as expected it’s another epic banger on so many levels…and NOW he’s droppin “b-sides” left & right? damn, not complaining at all though…in many cases i prefer these instrumentals over their original forms cuz Clams knows how to make a fucking classic with his mysterious sounds, regardless of whether its considered hip-hop or otherwise.
